I have always dreamed about wearing a trench to top off the casual street style outfit for the longest time but being in a country with only 2 seasons to deal with, it is quite impossible. Don’t get me wrong. I sometimes wear trench inside the corporate premises and during the rainy season but doing so outside for an outfit shoot doesn’t seem quite fitting especially with this scorching hot weather.
Fast forward to late 2016, the family planned a trip to Seoul, South Korea for a spring tour and this is what I have been waiting for to get those trench wearing fantasies done. Out came the weather check sites prior to the trip and we were told an average of 20 degree Celsius during our intended dates. The excitement was cut short for a moment. I ain’t gonna wear a trench over that temperature forecast but I still brought it with me nonetheless. Good choice. The forecast was inaccurate and we were greeted with a single digit chill upon arrival. It was indeed a trench inducing morning every single day.
I have been trying to mix and match colors that I think would go well with the muted tone of this trench coat from Zara and to be honest, it gave me quite a headache going around in circles over a number of options. The end result? Muted color palette. I never thought it was just that simple.
